Morecambe clinched a vital victory against play-off rivals Halifax Town.
Top scorer Michael Twiss was once again the star of the show with two goals to put Jim Harvey's side back in the thick of this year's exciting play-off race.
Twiss pounced to open the scoring on 73 minutes and added a second two minutes from time with a calmly struck penalty after Chris Clarke had handled Jamie Heard's right-wing cross.
Halifax did their utmost to get back into the game and scored a penalty themselves through Craig Midgley but time ran out on Chris Wilder's in-form side.
Overall it was a tough game for both sides who were desperate for points to cement their place in the play-off zone.
As a result chances were at a premium throughout.
Morecambe had the better of the early openings with Keiran Walmsley finding space on the edge of the box after two minutes and firing a right-foot shot wide of the target.
Skipper Jim Bentley saw a volley creep the wrong side of the post and Lee Elam, playing against his former club, ghosted in at the back post and forced Ian Dunbavin into a neat save.
As the half hour approached Halifax began to cause the Morecambe defence some problems of their own.
After Darran Kempson slipped on the halfway line Darren Mansaram took possession and tried his luck from 30 yards with a dipping shot that Adam Sollitt was glad to see clear the bar.
Sollitt was in action again five minutes later when, from a swift Halifax counter attack, Canadian Gordon Chin saw a gap open up but his right-foot shot was well saved by the Morecambe keeper.
Sollitt's best save, however, came two minutes after the restart with a flying block from Ryan Sugden's goalbound header.
The Shrimps hit back with Dunbavin saving neatly from Garry Hunter before the home side took the lead after a swift breakaway.
Twiss made the most of his good fortune when a rebound fell nicely for him in the box and, despite the best efforts of Dunbavin, he was able to slot home the loose ball for his 11th league goal of the season.
The Shrimps pushed forward in the hunt for a second goal and Dunbavin saved well from Walmsley and Kempson in quick succession.
He could do nothing to prevent Twiss scoring his second, however, in the final stages with his well struck spot kick and despite Halifax's late charge it was Morecambe who took the vital points on offer.
