Hereford secured their third successive away victory of the season with this win over misfiring Morecambe.
Three goals in the last 11 minutes gave Graham Turner's side the points as Morecambe slumped to their first home defeat of the campaign.
The game itself was an even one with plenty of attacking intentions but a real lack of lunch up front from both sides until the final period.
Sammy McIlroy's side threatened in the first half with Matty Blinkhorn heading a Garry Thompson cross wide of the right-hand post and Bulls' keeper Wayne Brown had to save smartly from David Artell as he got on to the end of Carl Baker's free-kick.
Morecambe keeper Joe Lewis was on hand to watch Lionel Ainsworth shoot wide twice in the opening exchanges before the same player headed inches over from a Steve Guinan flick on.
The first goal was always going to be vital and after Morecambe midfielder Damien Allen wasted a glorious opportunity on 75 minutes when he blazed Michael Twiss' low cross over from 12 yards it was the visitors who struck first.
With time running out Ben Smith took advantage of space on the right-hand side to send in a deep cross which was met by Trevor Benjamin at the far post and he headed home.
From there the gaps in the Morecambe defence were clear for all to see as they looked to get back into the game and Hereford hit them smartly on the break.
Ainsworth always looked their most threatening player with his pace and he scored the goal he had been threatening all afternoon six minutes from time.
A long through ball caught the Shrimps defence napping and he made no mistake to beat the helpless keeper Lewis.
To rub salt into Morecambe's wounds Hereford scored a third in injury time. Guinan provided the cross from the left and substitute Luke Webb nipped in front of his marker to poke the ball in from close range.
It gave the scoreline a flattering look as Morecambe had more than matched their former Conference rivals for much of the game.
