Morecambe V Dag Red at Globe Arena - Match Preview

Threlfall sits out again

Robbie Threlfall serves the second game of his three-match ban as Morecambe bid to record a fifth straight Sky Bet League Two victory at home to Dagenham.

Defender Threlfall was given his marching orders when the Shrimps beat Southend and therefore sat out last weekend's 3-2 win at Newport, a contest in which Jim Bentley's men enjoyed a good deal of fortune thanks to Tom Naylor's two own-goals.

Bentley was missing Andy Fleming in south Wales after the midfielder dropped a glass on his foot and he is again doubtful, as is winger Marcus Marshall who continues to be hampered by a hamstring problem.

Experienced defender Chris McCready recently broke his collarbone and striker Jack Redshaw is recovering from hip surgery.

Josh Scott returns for Dagenham but boss Wayne Burnett must decide whether to change a winning team.

The striker missed last weekend's 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers with a knock yet, with it being the Daggers' first league win in five attempts, Burnett will be tempted to stick with replacement Afolabi Obafemi.

Otherwise, Dagenham have no injury or suspension problems as they aim to record back-to-back league wins for the first time since December last year.

The Daggers have faced Morecambe 30 times in competitive matches since they were formed in 1992, more than any other opposition.
