Morecambe are without Kevin Ellison as they welcome Chesterfield to the Globe Arena.
The winger was sent off for violent conduct in an off-the-ball incident with Cheltenham's Steve Elliott during the 2-0 defeat on Friday night.
Boss Jim Bentley could replace Ellison with Stuart Drummond or Izak Reid in the midfield, as his side look to end a run of three successive defeats.
The Shrimps have received a boost with the news that striker Jack Redshaw could be fit enough to start again having recovered from a dead leg.
Redshaw was replaced at half-time during the 3-2 defeat at Plymouth and was only fit enough for an eight minute cameo from the bench at Cheltenham but is likely to replace Lewis Alessandra in the starting line-up.
Chesterfield caretaker manager Tommy Wright will have an unchanged squad for the game.
Drew Talbot was nursing a knock from the 1-1 home draw against Torquay at the weekend but the midfielder trained on Monday and will be fit for consideration.
On-loan Blackburn winger Micah Evans made his debut as Talbot's 64th-minute replacement on Saturday and the 19-year-old could be pushing for a start on his return to Lancashire.
Wright, whose team are unbeaten in eight league games - drawing six of those - said during his pre-match press conference: "We've got a lot of positives to take from that run.
"It's always a case of get what you can away from home, and even at home, but we're definitely going there to try to win the game, we always do.
"But it'll be a difficult game; they've got one or two players who I know from my time at Oldham. I know if we're not up for it it'll be difficult, but we've been up for every game so far."
