Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy has admitted he does not know whether he will be in charge of the struggling League Two club next season.McIlroy told BBC Radio Lancashire: "There have been managers sacked this season and as far as [I'm] concerned my results aren't good enough.
"We had a great season last year and expectations this season were sky high.
"I want to keep us in the league and then me and the chairman will have a chat and decide the best way to go."
McIlroy, whose side lie 19th, added: "I've got a good relationship with the chairman [Peter McGuigan]. We're very honest with each other.
"I looked at my situation earlier in the season after the Torquay game. I could see little things happening that I wasn't happy with.
"For me, my results haven't been good enough and I'm totally honest about that," added the 56-year-old.
McIlroy took over at Morecambe in a caretaker capacity in November 2005 before replacing Jim Harvey permanently in the summer of 2006.
He guided the Shrimps to the Football League in 2007 with a play-off final victory over Exeter City.
