"I was disappointed in the first half that we didn't at least go in front because the work-rate from start to finish was fantastic," he said.
"This team just baffles me at times. We have beaten Chesterfield away, Shrewsbury away and now Rotherham away so we should be better than where we are, but this win just shows that we are still around.
"I was down to the bare bones selection-wise and the lads were absolutely magnificent.
"Everybody from one to 11 was superb and everyone did their job and it was an absolutely top strike from Jimmy Spencer.
"He came back refreshed and scored an absolutely fantastic goal."
